Progress Update (of sorts) 29/01/07

I’ve been putting off posting an update as I keep hoping there will be more to report, but unfortunately things continue to progress slowly with the house. We did see a brief flurry of work immediately prior to Christmas but since then the builders have only spent 1 week on site. The concrete floors on the ground and first floor are now in, all the walls on the ground floor are built and about 50% of the walls on the first floor are complete, there is still an enormous amount of work to do though. On a more positive note we have met with another joiner regarding the doors and windows and were very pleased with the standard of their work, we are just awaiting their quotation!

We have made our frustrations known to the builder so hope things may begin to progress. When they do work they seem to get a lot done in a short space of time but their presence on site is erratic to say the least.
